Pre-Sales Scientist - Materials Science

Location: Bangalore, India

As a Pre-Sales Scientist you will focus on supporting Sales activities in key accounts and with potential new customers working closely with our account managers and our professional services specialists. This will involve delivering scientific and technical presentations to promote Accelrys’ products, liaising with development staff to resolve technical issues and providing customer training

You will combine a PhD with a minimum 3 years’ experience in a modeling application area such as catalysis, polymers, or crystal structure determination, preferably gained within a research environment or during a post-doctoral position. Knowledge of modeling techniques such as molecular dymaics, ab-initio (e.g. HF, DFT) monte-carlo, etc is essential.

In addition to your scientific expertise you will be fluent in English with ideally a background in technical consulting and a track record of engaging customers and captivating scientific audiences when delivering presentations and training. A  willingness to travel within India for at least 50% of the time plus some international travel is also required.
