Corporate Attorney
Location: San Diego, CA

The Corporate Attorney will be a trusted business partner principally to the Sales, Services, Business Development and Marketing divisions. The attorney’s primary responsibilities will be the drafting, reviewing and revising of software license agreements. In this role the attorney will need to be experienced in a broad range of commercial transactions including services, vendor and distribution agreements. JD and admission to the California Bar Association is required including a minimum of 5 years of experience in technology licensing, general commercial contracts and corporate legal work is required, preferably at a publicly held software or high technology based company. Excellent knowledge of corporate, contract and intellectual property laws a must. A flexible attitude and ability to work well with changing priorities; ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks will also be needed in this role. The candidate must have the demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a sales driven environment and recognize the importance of relationship building and professionalism in interacting with both senior management and staff employees.
Senior Internal Auditor

The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for day-to-day international SOX compliance program activities including assessing risk around key internal controls over financial reporting procedures that ensure financial integrity and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Specifically this position will conduct independent audits and evaluations of the company’s financial and operational control systems to determine compliance with established policies (SOX/COBIT), procedures, laws and governmental regulatory agencies (SEC/COSO). The Senior Internal Auditor will also execute walkthroughs of key processes regarding compliance related matters concerning systems upgrades, documentation and mergers/acquisition integration procedures. The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A professional certification (CPA, CIA, CFE, etc.) is strongly preferred. The candidate will have previous professional experience within a public accounting firm as well as working with or internally at a software/technology based corporation as an Auditor. Experience presenting findings and reports to senior level executives up to the BOD level is required. Experience that demonstrates proficiency with regards to strong risk assessment, SOX compliance program activities as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills will be expected. Travel can be upwards to 50% (domestic and international). This position requires the candidate to be a self-starter with excellent leadership traits with the ability to build solid professional relationships.
Strategic Account Manager

As a Strategic Account Manager with Accelrys you will combine exceptional sales skills in complex enterprise selling at the CIO and Executive level within the pharmaceutical market with the ability to understand and translate the customer needs into deliverable solutions. You will therefore be a key influencer in the development of future product strategies within Accelrys and have a direct impact on our business direction as you drive the sales of our solutions and product offerings into new market areas within the pharmaceutical domain.
Responsible for strategic account prospecting, development, proposing and presenting Accelrys’ solutions and closing the sales of major multi-million dollar software and service opportunities, this new role represents a significant opportunity for an ambitious individual who excels in exceeding their sales quota to join the market leader of Scientific Informatics Software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Successfully identify, develop and win, deep and complex, multi-million dollar, enterprise software solution sales driving the future business direction of our product strategy into new markets within the pharmaceutical domain.

Identify short, medium, and long term customer problems and business issues, translating these into opportunities to be able to propose effective solutions that provide a definite ROI and deliver improvements to our customer’s business processes.
- Accurately forecast sales pipeline and consistently exceed annual sales target by winning new business and developing and maintaining exist accounts.

Confidently predict and articulate the needs of your customers to the product management, product marketing, and R&D teams to enable these requirements to be translated into long term strategic deliverable solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Competent in managing and supporting multi-level, multinational, complex sales opportunities across the business with a proven ability to leverage internal resources as needed.

Able to articulate and confidently address the scientific and technical issues faced by pharmaceutical customers to influence the shaping of the product development strategy within the R&D department.

Previous work experience in a scientific or engineering based environment is highly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or a business related field is required.
