Accelrys and Symyx Complete Merger

On July 1st, 2010, the merger between Accelrys, Inc. and Symyx Technologies, Inc. was completed. The Accelrys and Symyx teams are excited to come together as the leading scientific informatics software company.  Our combined solutions enable customers to improve scientific performance by creating more open, flexible and agile environments, streamlining workflows, reducing operating costs and increasing the potential for innovation.  Read the full press release.

We are well-positioned to continue delivering the high quality products, services and support that our customers rely on.  Serving our customers and supporting the investment that customers have made in our products remains our top priority. Customers should continue to request help from the respective Symyx and Accelrys technical support organizations teams via the existing phone, email and website portals. 

Key to delivering on the commitment to our customers is a team with the experience and knowledge to lead the combined organization.  Max Carnecchia will continue on as Accelrys CEO and Isy Goldwasser, CEO of Symyx, will continue as an advisor through the transition. The balance of our management team includes members from both companies.

We are committed to keeping our customers and partners informed of our plans through regular communications. There are a number of resources in place to help answer questions, including a new area within our Online Community, called The Headquarters.  This group is open to customers and partners of Accelrys and Symyx and we encourage you to join the discussion with our team members.
