April 2011 - Accelrys NGS Collection Results in 2011 Bio-IT World Best Practice Award
Based on their implementation of Accelrys’ Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Collection for Pipeline Pilot, Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd. received Bio-IT World’s Best Practices Award. The NGS Collection enables genomics researchers to gain valuable insight from massive NGS datasets by using the most widely applied and best validated analysis methods currently available for all major types of NGS experiments. The Collection also enables research IT experts to quickly integrate new algorithms and computational approaches in one of today’s most rapidly changing research domains. Oxford Nanopore Technologies are using and distributing the NGS Collection as the preferred analysis platform for the single-molecule NGS technology they are developing.
April 2011 - Accelrys Named Computerworld 2011 Honors Laureate
On the basis of our nominated project, "Informatics for Neglected Diseases Collaborations," Accelrys was selected as a Laureate in the 2011 Computerworld Honors Program. Founded in 1988, this is the longest running global program honoring the use of information technology to promote positive social, economic and educational change. To address the need for better treatment of neglected diseases, Accelrys collaborated with SCYNEXIS Inc. and Tibco Software Inc. to identify informatics solutions that facilitate and support a virtual, global R&D environment enabling the discovery of new treatments.
August 2010 - Frost & Sullivan New Product Innovation of the Year Award Based on its analysis of the integrated insilico drug discovery solutions market, Frost & Sullivan recognized Accelrys, Inc., with the 2010 North America Frost & Sullivan Award for New Product Innovation of the Year. Accelrys merited this award for its Pipeline Pilot™ scientific informatics platform, a solution that provides, for the first time, a suitable automated workflow system that can be integrated into the information systems used by scientists in the pharmaceuticals, life sciences and materials industries.
April 2009 - Best Practices Award for "Biological Knowledge Management" at Bio-IT World Expo
Accelrys was named the winner of Bio-IT World magazine's fifth annual Best Practice Award in the category of Knowledge Management. Accelrys' biological information system resulted from an industry consortium composed of Merck & Co. and Abbott Laboratories, who were also recognized at the award ceremony. The consortium was nominated for its outstanding strategic innovation in the pharmaceutical discovery process.
April 2009 - Frost & Sullivan Growth Strategy Leadership Award
Accelrys recently won the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Growth Strategy Leadership Award for the North American Scientific Business Intelligence (Sci-Bi) Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Market. The award is given to the company that has bolstered its position in the market during the base year and whose strategy and technological innovation will have a lasting impact on the market.

Accelrys is the recipient of the Best New Product Award in the Chemistry category for Pipeline Pilot Cheminformatics Collection, which was competing against products from multiple other companies. Conference attendees voted on the winners, based on which ones they thought were the most innovative compared to the competition.
