Reporting directly to the US Manager of Worldwide Contract Research, we are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a strong scientific background to undertake computational research utilizing Accelrys’ scientific software to further our client’s efforts in the areas of chemical and materials science. This exciting position will work closely with the sales organization and travel to prospect and client sites presenting the value of our computational methods as well as be involved with proposals and the results generated in similar projects. Qualified candidates should have a good understanding of computational research and a minimum of 3-5 years of post doctoral and relevant industry experience using Accelrys suite of software such as Materials Studio, Pipeline Pilot, Cerius2 and/or Insight II. Other key requirements include in-depth knowledge of quantum chemistry, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, solid state chemistry and physics. The candidate should have a strong molecular modeling, background in catalysis together with an understanding of computational theory and atomistic tools such as density functional theory, force-fields parameterization, classical simulations, spectral simulations, multiscale modeling, etc. The qualified candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Sciences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Travel with this role can be expected up to 25% at times.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management, the Product Manager of Biological Sciences will spearhead the specification and design of Accelrys’ next generation of scientific software products, based on our world-class Pipeline Pilot informatics platform. Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Communications & Demand Generation, the Global Programs Manager will manage a diverse range of marketing programs including oversight of the creative process and execution for marketing research, communications, and branding activities to ensure product strategies and championing successful execution. This individual will manage all aspects of program development, including marketing communications strategy and architecture, advertising, web portals, collateral, and manage third party outsourcing and vendor relationships related to their program portfolio. Excellent writing, editing skills along with exceptional creativity, organizational, and project management skills are a must. Experience with CRM (salesforce.com or equivalent), web site and web analytics is essential. The ideal candidate will have a combination of demand generation, marketing communications and/or product marketing, within a global enterprise software oriented organization. Strong visionary, strategic, organizational, project leadership, writing, editing and planning skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are required. The Graphic Design Specialist will be ultimately responsible for design, layout, and editing of corporate communications, print media, as well as scientific/technical product literature inclusive of newsletters, product packaging and splash screens, print and web graphics, brochures and corporate presentations. Throughout the entire design process the Graphic Design Specialist will support company-branding guidelines and will proactively seek out ways to improve consistency and effectiveness of visual communications. The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Applied/Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related degree. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in desktop publishing and/or graphic design is required in a corporate environment, preferably within a technical or scientific related industry. The qualified candidate will possess commercial grade interactive, online marketing campaign development, and website development experience. Verifiable working experience with Adobe CS3/4, In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, and HTML is also required. The candidate should have an excellent sense of typography, layout, design, color and overall aesthetics inclusive of an understanding of basic business principals and objectives (branding, strategy, and corporate image consistency). We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic C++ engineer to design, develop and maintain the various aspects of SciTegic’s Enterprise Server and Pipeline Pilot products. The qualified candidate will possess at least 3 years of practical software development experience, specifically in an “agile” software development life cycle. Develop and maintain the Pipeline Pilot Reporting collection, in addition to architectural and enterprise elements of the software. Work with product management and the rest of the R&D team to develop high-quality software and architectural enhancements for a successful platform product within established release cycles and procedures.

Specifically this role will have a multitude of responsibilities including but not limited to management and oversight of the purchasing system (creating suppliers, vendors, and POs), administration of the outsourced travel agency, monitoring of corporate credit cards and payment processing, as well as vendor and supplier management. This role will also include day-to-day administrative support of the CFO and other key executives. This is a diverse and challenging position that will be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities in a global, publically held software company. A minimum 5 years experience in purchasing, contract, and travel management in an automated environment is required. This role requires a strong sense of initiative, with a positive/can-do/take charge attitude with a sense of urgency and attention to detail. To be successful you must be a relationship builder and be able to interact equally with employees and senior management.
