This month Accelrys announced its acquisition of VelQuest Corporation.VelQuest is the leader in paperless lab execution systems supporting current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in FDA-regulated life sciences industries.
By extending Accelrys’ software portfolio into the downstream pharmaceutical development Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) space, our acquisition of VelQuest supports customer initiatives around quality by design and continuous quality improvement across development and manufacturing. For example, the ability to transition optimized recipes and methods into lock-down production in regulated environments drives significant productivity improvements, faster cycle times, lower operational costs and up to ten times reduced compliance risk for customers.
