Day 1 – 9:30am, February 1st 2018, Thursday
Data Science Makes For Better Lab Science - Gene Tetreault, Sr. Director, Product Management, Unified Laboratory Management, Dassault Systemes BIOVIA

Today’s science-based organizations are on a successful path of optimizing lab efficiencies and integrating more instruments and devices into their lab environment. This comes along with an exponential growth of data in volume, velocity and variety. The challenge labs are facing now is how to reuse and act on their expensive “big lab data”. This presentation will show how scientifically-aware technology for searching, machine learning, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and modeling and simulation can help lab operations to leverage scientific data end to end, while becoming smarter, focusing on science, and making knowledge-driven decisions in real time to ultimately speed time to market.

Day 2– 11:05am, February 2nd 2018, Friday
Think Tank: Leveraging New Technologies in Lab –Why and How?- Daniela Jansen, Director Solution Marketing, Dassault Systèmes BIOVIA

As new advanced technologies emerge organizations are exploring how to leverage them to tackle long standing challenges and to provide value to their business. Laboratories are often burdened with limited resources, inefficient processes, time pressure and regulatory efforts. The implementation of technologies like data lakes and advanced analytics, mobile and the Internet of Things (IoT) or cloud and open platforms might be a way forward. In this session delegates will have the opportunity to discuss the value they are expecting or that they have already realized by using one or more of these technologies as well as exchange experiences and “lessons learned” with their implementations.
