Accelrys Nanotechnology Consortium:
Launch of Phase II
Since its inception in 2004, the Accelrys Nanotechnology Consortium has delivered a range of cutting-edge software tools to meet the challenges of rational nanodesign. Following a very successful Phase I, supported by over 25 members worldwide, Accelrys is now launching Phase II.
In this webinar we reviewed the successes of Phase I and introduced the next step in Computer Aided NanodesignTM. In the second phase of the Nanotechnology Consortium, the focus wilbe on developing tools and protocols that bridge the gap between atomistic simulations and engineering applications. Learn how you can have the opportunity to work in collaboration with scientific thought-leaders to steer Accelrys' development of leading-edge modeling and simulation technology.
Agenda - Nanotechnology Consortium, Phase II Webinar
Dr. Gerhard Goldbeck-Wood, Director of the Nanotechnology Consortium, and Dr. Carolina Oliva, Nanotech Specialist, reviewed the following:
- Introduction: A brief description to the Nanotechnology Consortium, outlining the aim, model and benefits.
- Phase I review: A short overview of the successes from Phase I, including the new software delivered during the past three years.
- Phase II proposal: This discussion includes the new developments planned for Phase II. The proposal for Phase II includes several new exciting developments: further QM/MM development, Tight Binding DFT, Kinetic Monte Carlo and much more!
