Control Exhaust Emissions

Pollutants from tailpipe emissions include CO, NOx, hydrocarbons, and particulate matter (PM). Tier II standards, which will be fully phased in by 2009, call for a 90% reduction in NOx and PM from the earlier Tier I standards. Future environmental regulation will be tougher, and may even cover CO2 emissions.
