Accelrys BioRails PTO is a unique system that supports project tracking and optimization. Today’s drug discovery process requires coordination between multiple teams not just within a single organization but increasingly across geographical and organizational boundaries. Accelrys BioRails PTO supports project teams and scientific laboratories by providing a single environment in which requests for any type of activity can be tracked and progress measured and reported.

Accelrys BioRails PTO offers the following key capabilities:

  • a web based application for creating and tracking requests for scientific
    experiments and results
  • the facility for laboratory teams to create and manage to do lists for their assays,
    studies and other service offerings
  • creation of services to provide experimental procedures to other teams
  • allows project teams to make requests for materials to be tested in selected procedures
  • automates requests for tests as materials are synthesised or sourced
  • creation of cascades of services with progression rules that allow materials to transition from one tier to another based on results
  • provides interactive reports showing progress of materials across the cascade,
    highlighting bottlenecks and empowering managers to take action
  • automates recording of key events for KPI reporting
