ISIS Overview

As the precursor to the modern Isentris system, ISIS is an information management framework that provides extensive chemical representation features and capabilities for searching chemical structures, reactions, and 3D molecular models. ISIS is also an application development environment that enables organizations to deploy scientific software applications such as chemical inventory systems, electronic lab notebooks, and systems for managing lead candidates.

ISIS includes four applications that help scientists present, manage and report data:

ISIS/Host: Register, retrieve, display and analyze scientific information

ISIS/Draw: Build queries and presentation-quality graphics

ISIS/Base: Store, search, browse and update data with forms-based querying

ISIS for Excel: Manage chemical structures in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets

ISIS can be purchased as a simple-to-install desktop solution or as an enterprise solution for site-wide deployment to scientists. The fully supported ISIS developer environment enables developers to extend existing applications, integrate third-party applications and build custom applications.
