Analytical and Crystallization Software

Materials Studio's analytical and crystallization software helps you to investigate, predict, and modify crystal structure and crystal growth. You can simulate and explain particle morphology, predict crystal structure and understand polymorphism, study critical surface interactions, and design growth mediating additives. Applications include drug candidates, pigments, scale inhibition, and explosives.

Analytical and Crystallization tools in Materials Studio includes:

  • Morphology: Allows you to predict crystal morphology from the atomic structure of a crystal
  • Motif - Allows analysis of connectivity information in molecular crystals, providing a qualitative and quantitative analysis of hydrogen bond topologies
  • Polymorph Predictor: Predicts potential polymorphs of a given compound from the molecular structure
  • Reflex: Aids the determination of crystal structure and assists the interpretation of diffraction data
  • Reflex Plus: Assists in the determination of crystal structures from medium- to high-quality powder diffraction data
  • Reflex QPA: Allows the determination of the relative proportion of different phases in a mixture based on powder diffraction data
  • X-Cell: Provides an indexing algorithm for medium- to high-quality powder diffraction data
