The Gene Expression Collection allows you to process, analyze, annotate, and report on gene expression experiments, including the individual target genes. Core functionality is based on BioConductor, the open source and open development software project for the analysis and comprehension of genomic data, which is in turn based on R, the well-known public domain package for statistical computing and graphics. This collection can be used to encapsulate and automate the expertise of the analysts within your organization, ensuring the documentation of best practices and reproducibility of gene expression analyses.
By harnessing the graphical protocol building capabilities of Pipeline Pilot, the Gene Expression Collection allows you to construct complex BioConductor-based workflows without writing code. In addition, you can easily integrate Gene Expression analysis with other Pipeline Pilot-based processes, such as Sequence Analysis and Reporting, and add analysis functionality as the number of BioConductor libraries expand.
With the Gene Expression Collection you can:
Analyze and annotate gene expression experiments
Use BioConductor tools without performing programming or being familiar with the R package
Easily create protocols to compare different analysis methods
Integrate R/BioConductor analyses with analyses conducted with other Pipeline Pilot Collections, including the R Statistics and Sequence Analysis Collections
Create comprehensive reports containing elements from both R graphics and the Reporting Collection
