“Our collaboration with the Accelrys Contract Research Services team has allowed us to gain a deeper knowledge of both out targeted and unwanted kinases and their respective structural biology. We found the Accelrys scientist’s broad experience with Kinase targets very useful in identifying and making us aware of key features and specific structural details. The modelling efforts led to the confirmation of our molecule binding mode and the identification of interactions that could potentially be exploited at a later stage on the project.

Overall the results from this collaborative study have allowed us to prioritize some of our chemistry efforts.”

“We at Addex had a unique target of therapeutic interest but only a small series of congeneric molecules address this difficult problem. We contracted with Accelrys' Contract Research Services team to help ups address this difficult problem. Accelrys had a scientist, with broad industry experience, pursuing our problem using their software immediately after our service agreement was signed. Over the period of two months their scientist developed, implemented and executed an intrinsic scientific approach to our problem. We were kept abreast of his progress through regular phone meetings. Accelrys used their complex consensus search algorithm to look for molecules that would be active, lead-like and possess minimal ADME issues. At the end of the project, we tested three dozen compounds and found two that were active. One was 1.2 mM and the other was 350 nM against the target. As a result of our engagement with Accelrys, we were able to move forward with viable compounds for our novel target.”

"The use of the Accelrys’s Contract Research Service team provided us the expected benefit of avoiding months of intensive laboratory screening. The modeling work provided by Accelrys also helped us to define and focus our future experiments along the most productive path for commercial and technical success. Furthermore, insights were also gained into additional technical paths that would meet our goals that were not obvious or planned for in our initial scope.”

“Our experience with the Computational Scientist Resource program has been very positive. We are now accomplishing more modeling with less effort by developing more advanced techniques. As a result, we are achieving better designs and faster idea generation with chemists and more quickly implementing these ideas. ”

“As a small protein engineering company, the support we get from Accelrys' Contract Research Services in protein structural engineering is a critical component of our molecular design. Accelrys' Contract Research scientists that w ework with are very knowledgeable in the area and we find their support an important contributor to our success and a cost-effective alternative to setting up our own structural engineering team.”
